The Rio Field shotshell is a 20-gauge upland and small game load built for hunters who spend their mornings walking fields and fencerows. Each round drives 1oz of 7.5 lead shot at 1250 fps which gives you a dense fast pattern that reaches upland birds and small game cleanly. It is a straightforward field load that does the job without stretching your budget.

The Field designation places this shell in Rio's standard upland lineup separate from the Heavy Field loads. That means a balanced 1oz payload instead of a magnum charge which is what most small game and upland situations call for. You get plenty of shot to pattern well on birds at field distances without the extra recoil of a heavier load.

This load uses a 2-3/4 inch plastic hull with a 2-3/4 dram equivalent charge and is intended for compatible 20-gauge shotguns. The 7.5 shot size handles a wide spread of work in the field. It has the pellet count to fold dove and quail and it carries enough energy for upland birds and other small game that flush close.

At 1250 fps the Field load keeps recoil manageable in lighter 20 gauge guns while holding a consistent pattern downrange. Those same qualities make it a practical pick for clay targets and off-season practice. You can run a box at the range and then carry the same shell you trust on a hunt so your point of impact stays familiar whether you are shooting clays or walking a field. A full case contains 10 boxes for 250 rounds total.
